The hourly notels aren't all as risky as you might think. It mainly just depends on the location. Avoid the ones in crappy/high-crime areas and you should be okay. They are known for being hook-up spots for sex but it's not just providers and their clients that use them. Lots of 'civilians' use them to sneak away and play as well. Was up around 1960 today to see a movie. noticed they were building ANOTHER Luxury Inn on 45 southbound side just north of that Flying J truck stop. In the past 2 years I have seen more motels appear up on 45 near 1960... this is good and bad. .good because it means there is some form of business driving this, bad because the type of business might attract leos

I personally avoid any of the hourly places anywhere near 290/Antoine area and any of them near 610/S. Main area. I also stay away from the Palace Inn on Hilcroft near 59S. There always seems to be a lot of LE activity at that one.
