Can Jordan Spieth win the GRAND SLAM of golf.

Playoff at the John Deere. Spieth and Gillis.

Gillis is 47 years old and never won on tour. Hard to root against a guy like that but I don't think Spieth is going to have any sympathy for him.
Gillis hits it in the water on the second playoff hole.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

Jordan "Cluth" Spieth , future GRAND SLAM CHAMPION.
Again, you mistake a sport and a game. I have played both and golf is not a sport. Using your your argument ... basketball is for 7 footers and golf is for little guys. There is no one defending a golfer on the course. There is no movement, other than walking from hole to hole. Baseball is much more athletic than golf. Try hitting a moving target with 40K people yelling at you. Golf, stationary object and library silence ... please. Originally Posted by pyramider

But...if you want to say it's not a sport...your opinion.

So was Secretariat ...
Minions are up for the award in 2020.
It would interesting to get Michael Jordon, Tony Romo and Mike Modano's perspective on the sport vs. game debate. Ask them if they think Tiger Wood's is an athlete worthy of admiration for his accomplishments.

Former NFL quarterback John Brodie who played on the senior PGA tour might have some good input. Ultimately, it is a matter of opinion

Got to love the Kid.
I am hoping he pulls it off.
Honors his commitment at the John Deere as others are over sea's getting ready.
Go Jordan!
My pick is Dustin Johnson. Tied for lead as I type. He knows how to blow majors now, which shows him what he needs to do to win. But it would be cool for Jordan to win. The PGA Championship would actually be interesting if he did win, lol.

Sentimental pick: Tom Watson.

course is playing easy.. Dustin on top at -7, a bunch of guys at 5 and 6 under, including Spieth at -5..

Watson and Woods each shot 76 (4 over).. no Claret Jug for Tiger.. maybe some juggs and tail, but no victory..
Jordan had a bad second round but he isn't completely out of it yet. His problem is there are a whole bunch of extremely experience players in front of him now.

He's five strokes behind now and if he can reduce that to four strokes or less by the end of the third round then he still has a chance.

He just hasn't played the way he's capable of playing yet.

Well that was close...the amateur suddenly realized where he was and what he was doing and...suddenly couldn't breathe anymore. Spieth almost made the playoffs...terrible drive on eighteen tho.

Congrats to Zachary Johnson...winner in a playoff against Louis O. and Leishman.

I managed to get through the day at work without listening to news or checking the web & just finished watching it on DVR. Man that was good stuff.
