Hope all is ok with the kids Allison.
If Allison did a NCNS on me. I would not give it a second thought. Allison has been too good for so long that I would know there was a valid reason.

Something similar had happened to me once. I did get a quick text that said something like ... "I am dealing with an emergency. I will call you later." And later I got the call and an explanation and a discount was offered.

We played hide the salami a few days later and I paid full price. The lady was very appreciative. She doesn't do short notice calls for many, but she will for me.

Real world life happens. Be understanding about it if you can. If you can't, just move on quietly.
