Remaking old movies

Sorry, but I love the older movies....classics if I may say like Bringing Up Baby, Little Women, any movie with Cary Grant in it, any movie that Hitchcock did (Rope is excellent) and yes, even the "musicals." Originally Posted by MsElena

Well, as much as some people hate remakes, dont look for them to stop anytime soon....because itz almost always about the money. They take these old movies and try to remake them and re-tell the story to tailor them to today's generation. Some think they can re-tell the story BETTER.

I think they're also remaking Stephen King's "It", and making it a movie instead of a mini series.....at least i THINK they're still making it.

John Wayne is rolling over in his grave this weekend.

Hopefully they never try to remake Fast Times at Ridgemont High (yes, it's on right now). Just something about Phoebe Cates and Jennifer Jason Leigh topless that just bring back all sorts of memories.

I really liked the latest, "True Grit". In fact, I didn't see the original. I agree that some movies should not be remade but in this case it was a very good idea.

By the way, "Water for Elephants" has been made into a movie and will be released soon.
