While Blue Bell was on hiatus, I discovered Tillamook Ice Cream. Yep, the same people who make the cheese. Had never seen their frozen line before at the local Kroger. BB's "vacation" allowed room in grocery store freezers for brands previously not marketed in Texas much.

Last night I did a scoop-by-scoop comparison of BB Homemade Vanilla and TM Vanilla Bean. I still relish BB, but with heavy heart (and stomach) and head hung in sadness, alas, I must confess that TM won my taste buds.

From what I understand initial production is going to be limited to vanilla, chocolate and cookies & cream till they can get store inventories stocked back up.
Is production up in a Brenham? I thought I heard Blue Bell was being made out of state

TM and BB are both great brands. TM is Washington State's version of BB, plus they make great cheese.

I still prefer BB Homemade Vanilla, but have TM in my freezer, too.
Love both...anyone ever had both at the same time?
