Not taking any sides here, but that area is not very good at any time, World Series or not, and if it's known to be a "floating zone for LEO on a regular basis," why would you chose to host there? Seems to be inviting troubles of one kind or another, whether for real causes or imagined.

There is only one area with a motel west of 435 and the Ball Park. This would place next to I70 after the new bridge over the Blue River, and in the high crime part of the city East of Van Brunt. That motel has very cheap weekly rates advertised on a big sign that is easily seen from I70. Those off Van Brunt are equally dangerous. I wouldn't enter one of these on a bet.
There have been more than a few murders in this area, so it is wise to just avoid the area.
There are some good hotels very near the Ball Park. Sometimes the additional expense is worth it, if your life is worth anything to you. The cheaper motels out by Noland road have always had a lot of adults visiting, but also closely watched by the police.
Just think about what you are doing.
