States have the ability to opt in or opt out to the time change follies, and several stay on the same time scheme year around. From what I read, states can opt in or out, however they cannot make the choice to remain on daylight savings time year round, only to stay on standard time year round. One state in the NE is considering changing their time zone to Atlantic, and then opt out of daylight savings to circumvent this. I personally like the daylight savings time schedule because I wake up too damn early. But honestly I wish they would just leave it one way or another because it's too hard for my internal clock to adjust to it changing.
There is legislation under considerate in Austin at the moment that would result in Texas sticking to one scheme or the other all year. My vote would be to stay on Daylight Savings Time. Originally Posted by Dfwgent

That will be easier on everyone's natural internal body clock. Originally Posted by CG2014
