I travel a lot as a Sales and Marketing Manager, so it it not real hard to break away during the day but forget the eveing encounters. The SO doesn't trust me either, so I have to be very discrete. Imagine that????

Another good one is, "Tony owes me $100 and he gets paid today. He just needs a ride to go pick his check up and to go to the bank. If you want when I get back we can go out and get something to eat." That will buy you a minimum of an hour. Most the time it's 2 hours for me. Works best in morning so that way your SO can use those 2 hours to make it out of bed and get ready for you.

Best excuse I have ever heard from a client was he at his conference in Amsterdam and was very busy with reps, speakers, dinners....Well he was during the morning...at nite he was with me!! I went with him to Amsterdam too!! heeeeeheeeeee

Business works well..ie trade show...for sure golf trip with the guys...
