I never read the book but I saw the movie with Martin Sheen and Christopher Walken and I kind of have to disagree. What everyone is missing is that Trump is NOT a politician, he is a businessman with a certain way of doing business. If you read his book, The Art of the Deal, you have to come into a possible deal big. Over the top if you want. The other guy is going to counter and you counter back. You don't start in the middle and you don't do like Obama and show your cards, give up every advantage and telegraph everything that you're willing to give up. As for your opponents, make em so mad that they can't think straight. Insult them, obviously and sneakily, but let them believe you have their number. I notice that Hillary has refused to respond to the latest comment from Trump. Her handlers know that she is going to come off second place if she goes to the floor with Trump. If she tries to argue that she didn't lose in 2008 everyone will know that she did. So it will become a matter of semantics about what Obama did to her and she loses.
As for today on Fox News, Eric Cantor kept (like the New York Times) calling what Trump did "vulgar". The word vulgar comes from the Latin word vulgate which means common. To call Trump vulgar is to say that he is like the masses.
