By calling you out knowing that you'd have to be the "big" guy it increaed the number of people that saw the post. It sucks when somebody smarter than you gets you to do exactly what they wanted you to without you realizing it doesn't it.

A while back I looked at the Soirée site thinking that o might be interested. There was a tab saying "new pics", and when I opened the page there were several face pictures of both the ladies and gents. I was so shocked that a "professional" event like that would allow pictures of the gents faces to be posted on their site for the world to see. I looked at the site again a couple of weeks later and the face pictures had been removed. Anyone planning on attending should first consider if they'd like for their pictures to be posted on the Internet! Although the pictures are down now, I would be furious of my pictures were posted without my consent. The pictures were posted without consent and were only taken down after they were contacted by a local provider. That's all of the information that I'm at liberty to discuss publicly. I'm not trying to convince anyone to go or not go to the Soirée.

That's the best that I can do without using names. I'm not going to worry too much about it. People can choose to believe whatever they'd like to believe. Go and take pictures if you'd like, but don't be surprised when they are posted on the Internet.

I had an opportunity to dig into this. The pictures were blurred and there is evidence. However, the pictures did become unblurred! The minute the webmaster found out, they were blurred again.

How they got unblurred is the mystery but there is a discussion on TER about a program that can unblur pictures.

The Sorie people were concerned and rectified it as soon as they found out.
