Mexican : Tacqueira Mexico on Southwest Blvd.
BBQ : LC's . Second for over all experience is BB's lawnside but that includes the music and atmosphere.
Don't know where you're staying but Corner Cafe and Roxannes in the North for basic diner food and pies. Chubby's on Broadway if you're in that area.

I made the "mistake" of going to Slaps the very first Friday lunch that they were open. Crazy long wait, line outside the door. But was worth it! They do good! Learned my lesson, though. Now my staff will pre-order the day before. Much more convenient!

Chubby's at 2AM is a spectator sport. The people-watching is better than the food. And, as Dallas said, for dive kinda food, it's not bad for 2AM!
