SB/SD site stings

Very impressive. Thanks for alerting the community.

However, are you sure this was a general sting? Is it possible that they were specifically targeting you? To go thru this much trouble; untraceable phone numbers, uber sophisticated usage of social media and even repainting the car . . . That doesn't sound like just local LE. This is something bigger. You'd better call Saul.

Those damn things are a pain to get rid of ..

^^^Exactly what I'm talking about, OP.
It's not paranoia if they're really after you.
Did you destroy your phone, computer, whatever you used to communicate with the two women? If not, do it now. Also, you're going to need a lot of tinfoil.

I just did not want to go there.

I'll admit it could have been a shake down. I didn't consider that until I read some of SJ's posts on the topic. The only thing that makes me think it was LE was that one girl gave me a number that was both untraceable and disconnected from Verizon's network, but she could send and receive texts. IMHO I was not arrested b/c I never got out of my car.

I've never heard about any app/program that would allow you to have send and receive texts but have a disconnected voice number, especially one at Verizon? One time it rang through, but typically not. So I think only LE can turn the number on and off, and that's why I'm leaning against a shake down, especially the first one. Also the fact they both drove the same car (only difference was color) was too coincidental by far. Originally Posted by dhoustonguy

With T-Mobile you just call in and tell them you want to disable the voicemail and they do it no problem. I have mine disabled just because if I missed your call just send me a text instead.

On both occasions I went to the meet place early and found guys who looked like undercover cops waiting outside. Originally Posted by dhoustonguy

On both occasions, the lady was running "late". On both occasions, the lady arrived in a late model Chevy Camaro. Originally Posted by dhoustonguy

How do you know what kind of car they drove? They both told you?

Was the meet place some parking lot?

A familiar bar or restaurant would be better where you can arrive first and somewhat control the scene...LE will likely not venture into that.

You sound paranoid but better safe than sorry I suppose.

What site
I actually had a really odd encounter this past weekend with one of those sites & it has me 2nd guessing myself.
Needless to say, I will not be meeting the girl now.
Better safe than sorry.
you mentioned you chose the location to meet (both times). LE won't scramble to go there. they will chose a location they have control over and have surveillance set up.
Sit your Scary ass down somewhere. Ls on SB sites lol.

Too vague and unspecific to be a real Alert.

Moved to coed for further discussion.
