Thank you so much to everyone for all of your PMs, emails and texts expressing your concerns and best wishes. It definitely warms my heart to know that I've impacted so many of your lives in a positive way.Natalie,
I probably should have clarified that the "complications" in my life were actually very positive changes. My professional career is moving forward at a rapid pace, and my personal life, while chaotic at times, is going well. I'm lucky to have such supportive friends around me.
I've tried to keep up with the reference requests and correspondence I've received over the last couple of weeks, but I'm afraid I haven't been as reliable as I normally am with responses. I apologize to anyone that I may have missed during my hiatus.
With all that said, I am returning from hiatus to see a minimal amount of friends during my transition out of the hobby. I will require a bit of notice to be able to slip away from work, and on many days, will not be able to check messages or respond until I'm home for the day. Over the next few months, I will be preparing to retire my provider hat. Rest assured, my retirement will be final, and you won't be seeing Natalie (or any other "new" incarnation of her) after my retirement is announced.
I realize that many of you are probably wondering why I feel the need to provide such a detailed explanation of my plan. When I went on hiatus to concentrate on my career advancement, it was rather abrupt. I failed to consider that many of my friends here would be confused, and that some would assume something terrible had happened: heartbreak, being "outed," illness. I appreciate everyone's concern so much, and have a strong desire to leave the hobby on a high note, with a life enriched by fond memories and good friends.
I'd like to express my gratitude with a little get-together at my humble abode very soon. I'll post the details in Co-Ed for my existing friends.
Thanks again...
