This is one of my objections to what I will call the complete Libertarian.
Some border on a sort of socialist idea of common ownership; and the idea that people should be free to travel from one country to another without restriction. A far cry from the nationalistic goals of Trump.

Libertarians are very similar to Republicans in that they are very stubborn on their purity. The failure to understand that they will not achieve their goals in a single election cycle prevents them from compromising their ideals in order to become more palatable to voters. The Republicans are cast into narrow segments that if you do not fall into that caste of Republican, you will not get their vote.

For the Democrats, you could drag somebody out of prison that raped women, butchered dogs, committed grand larceny and they will still vote for her or him..
