Backpage CEO Arrested

Do you peeps not see the similarities between Backpage and Eccie?
Specifically, what's being promoted and what/why the Atty General is going after them?

Sure seems to me that there's a lot of parallels between the two sites.
That trafficking allegation is just one of many the AG seems to be using.....

I'm more concerned about that than some influx of new members.

I have no doubt that there is a watchful eye kept on activities here and an influx of BP mongers and ladies would no doubt draw more unwanted attention in our direction.
I saw on the news this morning that it was UA trafficking - which of course does not happen here thanks to verifications Originally Posted by hittinit

The charges are ridiculous and they won't stand. This is grandstanding by politicians who are running for higher office (Harris) or under indictment (Paxton).

I guess all the BP girls will be coming over to ECCIE. So glad I already have my regulars.

SMH!!! This world has never been safe ... a life lesson learned from BP Protect yourself always! Looks most definitely can be deceiving... Hopefully none of the real genuine providers get any issues from this mess.. Have fun not careless fun

The reality of it is that providers are going to start using other social media apps that look and operate allot like a cross between facebook and mocospace. They have already started hi jacking them. It's already starting to happen allot more in the target cities for traffiking. I won't say which ones are but it doesn't take a genius to figure it out.
The actual arrest in Dallas was for money laundering..not sure what evidence they have for the pimping charges in CA,but they did the same thing with Redbook out of CA. Not sure if the charges stuck or not but it was certainly enough to agut the site down

It was UA that brought it down...but who is anybody kidding BP was a sex/escort based site as was Craigslist before they got out and hence CL traffic is down 90+%!

The internet is RUN off sex, 90% of all traffic is sex based - porn sites or escorts so this "tech economy" is nothing but a crib based industry such as what thrived in the Wild West. Don't believe me, then why are you reading this post on THIS SITE?!?

Another hint: you can search phone numbers in ads on Facebook.

Morning news says that 2 of BP's investors have been charged as well. Looks like they are digging deeper this time than they have with previous sites that were busted.
