I was the originator of the old thread, and gosh knows I don't want to start that mess up again nor debate why it flatlined. However, providers were NOT the whole problem. Too many cooks were tinkering in the kitchen. I'm sorry, but moderation at the time was capricious; rules and interpretation kept changing until pretty much ANYTHING was a violation. (Even semantics were being argued. My final post there was determined to be an infraction since I stated I had a cancellation and would be available "after 5" instead of "at 5." Really?)
I freely admit that some ladies (AND gents) couldn't follow a straight guideline unless they were glued to it, but that's little different from any other forum on ECCIE, past or present.
If ONE set of concrete parameters was established with limits on how often providers could post, and one editor and a couple of mods IN SYNC on consistency would monitor, it might succeed, but who wants to take on that much work, especially in a market as active and large as Houston? And besides, doesn't the general ISO section fill the need for guys looking for short notice well enough? And as Dorian pointed out, providers already have 2 venues in which to advertise weekly, not to mention that every post a lusty lady makes is a promotional opportunity.
