??What are your hotel habits to make it more relaxing for your stay

X2 regarding sleeping on a towel...no telling how fresh the sheets may be. also, safety wise...put your butt on your door and look right and left for the closest emergency exit / stairs. you never know what is going to happen and you need to leave quick.

Surprised nobody has commented on the on/off AC bullsh*t. Sleep great for 20 minutes with the AC (sound) on, then it goes off and f's up the sleeping dynamic. Over and over and over. I now, bring my own portable fan and use white noise

I stay at alot of hotels..so first thing I do is memorize the layout of my room...makes it so much easier to find the bathroom in the dark at nighttime....

I leave the bathroom light on so I can find it easily if I get up. Pissed on several TVs until I learned that trick. Too many hotel rooms in too few nights will confuse the best of us.

I keep electrical tape to cover all the pesky LED's on all over the place, put a pillow over the clock, binder clip to hold the drapes shut etc. I like it dark for sleeping.

Lol yep.I understand!

I take my own pillow with me..hotel pillows usually suck
I bring my own coffee and coffee maker. Never...ever...use the one in the room. You don't know what been in them, and they never get cleaned. Yuck!
A roll of paper towels and my own liquid hand soap (I wash my hands like crazy) My body wash. A variety of mens body wash. lysol wipes. House slippers. New bottle of Listerine. A variety of rubber duckies. Tongue scrapers. My earplugs. Extra toothbrushes. My tablet to play Pandora/Spotify. Etc.

I always unplug the clock in the room and have my 60 minute hourglass (can someone gift me w/a glow in the dark one for Xmas)

Thanks for that reminder. Always thought it was a cute idea!!! Not all that accurate but not too far off, either!

For hotel stays ... I just pay attention to what's around me, and the room, when I get there. And I go with the flow.

I'm not fond of bedspreads, either. Prefer the places that use sheets for top covers over a comforter of sorts. Those are always getting washed.

Prefer to not walk barefoot at all on the carpet, unless I'm meeting a client.

I never ever use the glasses. Wipe down most everything, especially the tv remote - which is a pitre dish of DNA.

On business, I do ironing immediately. Late nights make it hard to do in the morning.

it looks like cute decoration in the room. So, you get a general sense of time even if one is kinda off.
