Well, the main point of this thread is that it is a parody. That is what you miss.

America is a great place, and I love my country. But I'm not prepared to ignore the fact that we are the foremost exporters of death, destruction, and misery on the planet. That, again, is just part of our European heritage.
Why make due with "virtual fighting"? If you need to see folks fight, just flip on a screen somewhere around you - they're omnipresent - and satisfy that need by taking a look at what's going on in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, all over central Africa, and a bunch of other places.
Your last sentence is accurate, but incomplete (although it could arguably be subsumed by the first listed conflict). Rich vs. poor is (or will very shortly become) the defining conflict in American society today.
