they may confirm him to get him out of the senate, one thing about him he would follow the constitution Originally Posted by gary5912

No what I meant was that, to the senators and congressmen who would eventually confirm or deny his affirmation ..... should Cruz ever be nominated ..... they would use his lack of judicial experience as a reason/excuse to toss him aside ..... especially by those who think his ideas and beliefs are a little too far out there ..... his cuban pappy is now a preacher and Cruz supposedly believes in some obscure prophecy about the "Seven Kingdoms" or some such stuff.

Cruz's extreme religious devotion if not outright fanaticism disqualifies him from the Court. The founding fathers, religious one and all for the most part, set up separation of Church and State for many reasons, this is one of them. they would want a justice to evaluate the issue dispassionately without favor or prejudice to religion

This appointment looks like it's stretching more than liberals sphincters. Seems like I read something this morning that not all Republicans were too happy with this appointment either.

Romney just confirmed that he's not Trump's pick for Secretary of State.

need i remind anyone here that Romney sought out and got a glowing endorsement from Trump in 2012 then stuck a knife in his back in 2016. that was unneeded and lacked class. and it blew up Romney's face like Wile E Coyote gets from ACME rockets bahaaa

Trump, like other type A people such as Steve Jobs can in a cold and mercurial way rip you up then 5 minutes later go to lunch like it never happened. Romney .. probably not. baahhaa

if Trump felt Romney could be useful he would have offered him a post. Sec of State would probably have been the best role for Romney, he's even slicker as a "polished speaker" than Kerry.

so now that Romney won't get a cabinet post, does that put him on the short list of Repubs that might challenge Trump in 2020? my bet is he will. and he'll lose.

Think again... if they hate him enough, they might confirm him just to get him out of the Senate! Originally Posted by lustylad
