BBQ once again...........

It's about 1 block from I-35, across the street from the condos.
I pass by it all the time and was about to try it out. Now I definitely need to stop in for some good eats.

Franklins is damn good! I got there at 11:30am and there was a line out the door already!

I tried a little of everything. They make their own sauces all of them are good.
I will have to try that place out as well, I loooove some good BBQ. I have always liked Rudy's, Vic's and and Smokey Mo's (but only the one off 183N and HWY 29, a few other hole in the wall places also.

I have a friend that wants to take me to Coopers, so excited to try them out.

I've been to the Cooper's stores in Llano and New Braunfels. While Llano is the original, the food at the New Braunfels Coopers was carbon copy, the restaurant is more comfortable and it's a LOT closer.

Last time I was there I had the BIG CHOP. I think the hunk of meat alone was $16! But it was awesome. Perry's Chop House downtown sells their infuckingcredible pork chop for 10 or 11 bucks on Fridays at lunch. On plates. With napkins. Waiters. Full bar. All that chit. Much as I like all that foolishness, though, I'll take the BIG CHOP at Coopers!

Next time I want to try the Prime Rib. Wonder how it compares with Rudy's?

- Cooper's (llano)
- City Market (luling)
- Ironworks (austin)

Hmmmm never been impressed with iron works in austin so I stopped going there about 3 years ago.

I have a good buddy of mine who was born and raised in lockhart and he tried out franklins and he likes franklins better.....

Rox Rudys is like the taco bell of BBQ compared to these other places. You will love Franklins and the owner is there working everyday.

I used to love Iron Works' Tuesday night all you can eat beef ribs specials. But I think they've really slipped in the past few years. I went there a few months ago and was disappointed.

I do miss Ben's Longbranch BBQ... mutton served with lots of napkins and a straw!

I am surprised that the Salt Lick has not made much of an appearance.
