While Brooke brought up taxes, that issue is ballpark counter weighted by the fact that employer tax match and benefits runs about the same rate.

Also, don't forget that you have no incall/motel costs/headaches

I agree with Brooke. I'd ask for $100k and would happily pay taxes on it simply to legitimize myself.

I'd also insist on benefits (health/dental, etc.)

All this cowboy math makes my head hurt. Because it's all wrong. 500$/day? Is that average? If so, that is 62.5$/hour and with 2080 working hours in a year that is 130k. Not 110k. That's going to put you in a 28% tax bracket so you would pull in 93.6k/year after taxes. That's before any other deductions.

Fun fact, if your 500$/day rate comes from only 3 sessions. That means you would have to have 780 sessions in a year to pull down 130k cash. Let's say that's one 250H and two 125HH... now to match the cash after taxes, just drop one HH session per day and you would have 520 sessions over the year to pull in 97.5k per year, which is close to the after tax amount.

That's a whole lot of work... just saying, sitting on a couch would be a breeze compared to orcastrating over 500 sessions.
