I was just down there for the Beale St. Music Festival and had a wonderful time. I would love to come down there again soon. Just out of curiosity how hot and humid does it get in the summer? Are there smaller jazz and blues and BBQ street festivals throughout the summer where you can enjoy the same sites and sounds with a more intimate crowd?

Where is the best place to stay if you really just want to hang around the Beale St. area and enjoy the clubs there in walking distance?
