I have never given a deposit. However with one of my regulars who I know well ran into financial problems. I fronted the money to have her car repaired. But, I trusted her and she made it up to me with great service over the years. She is now retired from the hobby, married today, but today still makes time for me when ever I need some special time.
But, I wouldnt do it unless I know her well.
