Coal production dropped 18% from 2015 to 2016, although production is expected to rise marginally in 2017 due to natural gas prices. In 2005 coal accounted for 50% of the electricity in this country and about 30% in 2016.
I read through them and noticed from 2004-2015 we have managed to reduce carbon through mostly the use of natural gas and away from coal. That economically sustainable trend should ultimately lower carbon in the atmosphere.
