you know it really surprises me how LBJ gets a pass on being one of the worst president in history after escalating the Vietnam war after he took office, everybody hate Bush over the WMD's and 5000 American life's lost in Iraq, in Vietnam there were over 59,000 life's lost, but at least the Iraq Vet came home a hero the Vietnam Vet not so much

President Trump's job approval remains at historic lows and a majority of voters believe he is abusing his presidential power, a new Quinnipiac poll found.

Trump's approval rating sits at 37 percent in Wednesday's results, up just 1 point from Quinnipiac's survey released on May 10. He still holds a comfortable rating with Republicans, 84 percent of whom approve of his job performance.

Fifty-four percent of those polled said Trump is abusing the powers of his office.

On the issue of his decision to fire former FBI Director James Comey, Americans were split — 49 percent said it was an abuse of power, while 47 said it wasn't. And 55 percent said they believe Trump asked Comey to drop the investigation into former national security advisor Michael Flynn.

That issue should be investigated by the House of Representatives, 62 percent said, while 66 percent support the appointment of a special prosecutor to probe ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Trump's honesty ratings are also in jeopardy.
Fifty-nine percent of voters now say Trump is dishonest.
"President Donald Trump remains mired in dreadful mid 30s approval numbers and the red flags that are popping up tell an even darker story," said Tim Malloy, the poll's assistant director.

"But by far the most alarming determination is that President Trump is abusing his office."

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who was the worst president of them all?

Or, at least since World War II?

Barack Hussein Obama.

Yes, it’s true. According to a new Quinnipiac University Poll, “33% named Barack Obama the worst president since World War II.”

According to USA Today:

President Obama has topped predecessor George W. Bush in another poll, but not one he would like…

…”Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

Of course, Obama and Bush are the most recent presidents; historians will tell you that it takes decades to truly measure an individual president’s performance….

…The Quinnipiac poll also reports that 45% believe the nation would be better off had Mitt Romney defeated Obama in the 2012 presidential election; 38% say the country would be worse off with a Romney presidency.

I think this is a bogus poll.

Oh no–not because I disagree with the Obama rating; but because Jimmy Carter is only the fourth worst president since World War II.

I agree that Nixon and Obama should beat him out–but not George W. Bush.

After all, when did Bush EVER say that the problem with America was the American people? (Carter’s Crisis of Confidence speech).

What about when Carter believed the Soviet Union wasn’t a threat to us.

Then they invaded Afghanistan. And thenhe considered that the greatest threat since World War II?

For lack of leadership and knowledge of foreign policy, Carter should certainly take the #3 slot behind Obama and Nixon.

Everything else on the Worst President poll looks about right. Originally Posted by TheDaliLama

Compassion for others?

If they wouldn't want to give out food stamps to keep the family from turning to crime or some such, something that directly benefits them, they sure won't do it for compassion.

And for a group of people who do nothing but talk down polls,
especially one like this with no real criteria other than "feelings" of the respondents, they know it doesn't mean shit

If you have a choice between your family being hungry and food stamps, guess which choice you will make.

Come on!!! George W. Bush ignored vital info pertaining to 9/11, started 2 wars (one of them by lying to the country), declared one of them "mission accomplished " yet we were still there fighting for years afterward. And oh yeah there was that little thing about bankrupting the country when he inherited the best economy since WW2 from his predecessor. The lack of oversite that led to the savings and loan crisis. Just to name a few things.

Also the only reason we didn't have casualties on such a mass scale as we did in Vietnam is because our medical technology is light yeas more advanced than it was back in th 60's/70's.
