Trump tried to change #2 with his first EO which is the main reason it was declared unconstitutional. The EO banned people with valid visas from seven majority Muslim countries from entering he U.S. That is unconstitutional.

"The court's action isn't expected to set off the kind of chaos seen around the world when Trump signed the first travel ban into effect on Jan. 27. That executive order, which went into effect immediately, barred all travelers from seven countries from entering the U.S. even if they had green cards, valid visas or refugee status. It led to at least 746 people temporarily detained at U.S. airports, some being deported back to their home countries, and untold numbers of others prevented from boarding their flights at airports overseas."

Those people who were blocked from returning to the U.S. by EO 1 will not be blocked from entering the country today. The differences between EO 1 and EO 2 are fairly well explained below.

"Trump unveiled a revised order in March that smoothed out some of the original ban's rougher edges and narrowed the list of countries to include Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. It called for a 90-day ban on travelers from six countries and 120 days for refugees, but excluded visa and green card holders, deleted a section that gave preference to Christian minorities, and included a waiver process for those claiming undue hardship."

One wonders with their piss poor track history, and the sheer # of times they ahve been overturned, WHY THAT court is still in existence..

that's due to politics. people in congress have tried for 30-40 years to split the 9th district.

one only have to look at the 5th & 11 district to see how long it took to split the 5th district into 11th district. This was the last change Congress did to the court composition. the push started in the 1970s and was done in 1980s. the 5th district split was controversial at that time.
