The "I can't live without you" drama...

My first SO decided to leave after 2 years of marriage and joined the army. I didn't hear from her for 20 years and she found me on Classmates & facebook 2 yrs ago. She pulled the crap of we were always meant to be together and she made a mistake, and she loved me, and she wanted to leave her husband so we could be together forever. I said no and she blew her head off in the garage in front of her husband.

Talk about an emotional roller coaster on her side and mine. No one is worth killing yourself over. Yet those who do it, don't realize the guilt and hurt they put the other party thru. Imagine my suprise when the Homicide Detectives calle me asking questions. Apparently she was telling everyone she was going to get back with an ex and be happy forever.

I need a BnG now...

From a professional point of view, as soon as a client gets too possessive or makes you feel uncomfortable in anyway, you should end the relationship with an immediate clean and permanent break or you are asking for trouble. Threats are always intolerable. It is pointless reporting self harm threats in most situations as little action will be taken even when the person has a known psychiatric history. I always tell providers to use their intuition with all clients when they start feeling bad vibes before it gets to threats.
I'd fire him (yes I fire clients lmao)...

I can't be asked to be dealing with a despondent grown man...My life's already chaotic enough!
I'm glad to hear you ladies are for the most part ready to walk away from anyone who would resort to such a spineless, childish maneuver to gain attention. I submit that any provider who would put up with this type of behavior is in the wrong business, and any hobbyist that has to resort to such drama to get his way is probably better off actually doing the deed instead of making threats.

Wish I could see you when you visit next week. Ah well...... Enjoy Big D, sweetie!
Oh, my - this is like my ex going back to a girl he had stopped dating because she told him she wasn't after his money.

On the topic of someone wanting to control that much - it is never worth what they are willing to give. Freedom is MUCH better.

I've not found one yet that works. Do NOT get involved with someone you met in the hobby. Ever. Originally Posted by SoftPlaceToLand

It goes both ways. If a provider starts to develope feelings, kindly run run run. IMHO a hobbiest should switch providers and not be exclusive to their ATF

But, I am not a fan of a Man who has no backbone in the first place. There should be warning signs of this behavior and If he is well off to take care of you, then why not leave the hobby for a while until you make other plans?

I would walk away as well. No one should have to deal with that bullshit.

I do realize, I know deep in my heart, it would never work out each time. But we all long for something better, the grass must be greener just over the hill.

Fact of the matter is, we are all some pretty fucked up people. (Both in & out of the hobby). But in the hobby, the lines of a relationship are even more blurry, the ability to recognize our faults and our partner's faults is thrown out the door, and we stumble into some pretty screwed up relationships.

Though none of us may want to admit it, most of the guys are here because regular relationships don't work for us. I could list a dozen reasons perhaps, and if we were honest with ourselves, probably a few dozen more would be offered. But we are going into the encounter with that weight on our shoulders, and a lady who can create an illusion of passion, no matter how fleeting or in some cases warped it might be, well, is that really any foundation for a long term relationship to be built on?
