Well, I ended up having a whopping 5 bucks to win on Animal Kingdom. Couldn't get the exacta or the trifecta, really kicking myself. Was all over Animal Kingdom and Mucho Macho Man, but 1st and third, cost me from having a very nice day. If Mucho Macho Man could have got his nose up, I would have been a very happy camper. Also Archarcharch saddle slipped, which cost him the race and he also ended up with a slight leg fracture, but they said it wasn't career threatening.
If Animal Kingdom can win the Preakness, we could be looking at a triple crown, as he is breed to run all day.
Well and for those of us that made it to Lone Star, the eye candy was awesome, I have a very stiff neck today.

I was aware of Animal Kingdom and liked him, but the "never run on the dirt" angle, plus his sire being an exclusively turf horse, kept me off of him. That, plus only four prep races in his career, seemed too much to overcome. Great training job by Graham Motion, who I have always greatly respected.
