The original report described the tweets as “racist,” but as of this morning, the article was updated to describe the tweets as “inflammatory.” The headline of the article also changed from the original “Sarah Jeong: NY Times stands by racist tweets reporter,” to adding single quotation marks around the word ‘racist.’
