THE PC POLITICAL FORUM

Well, I usually found humor in some of WTF's homo insults. Like this one...

^^^ That one made me laugh for 5 minutes. Originally Posted by lustylad

I take that back in part, he had other good qualities, he was always up for a beer with you and offered several times and never harbored a grudge

If I receive an infraction I usually respond via PM. I've never had one reversed. Has anyone else?

I don't think wakeup holds a grudge. Anyone who holds grudges shouldn't be a mod. Originally Posted by lustylad

I call bullshit based on my experience posting in the Austin sandbox. You may have behaved reasonably well, but most of the others repeatedly violated the rules that are currently applied here. That includes Cap'n Crunch, milly23, Austin Dude, yssup rider, Little Monster, Observing, supercold1, and many, many others. Originally Posted by lustylad

I also consider him a humanitarian who has made our world a better place.

If there was a better man than him to be a mod, I would be shocked.

I think we should all crowdsource donations to him to defray his time spent doing such a good job moderating.
Now that this guy WTF isn't here anymore, can we insult him at will?

Bad mods and admins can ruin a site or a forum. If a mod is unpopular, don't blame the mod, blame the admin or owner who assigned a mod to a forum.

About reversing infractions, I did that on a couple of occasions, but only after talking to the mod who assigned the points and made sure he understood why. Some board admins/owners won't reverse infractions because they would feel that they assigned the wrong person to be a mod, and that they would look bad for picking the wrong person to mod.

But whenever I cross the line, I get whacked. I didn’t always agree. Hell, I got points on Another board by mods who are members of ECCIE for using a GW Bush avatar. I didn’t agree with it, but I didn’t do it again.

The idea that people are being denied their right to break the rules, or discriminated against because they want to call someone a (fill in the blank) is ludicrous.

The fact that there are so many threads bitching about the rules of the road suggests to me that maybe some people are more interested in hurling insults than discussing political issues or the fake news of the day.
