I see them also. I don't think any I knew are still alive.No problem.

For a number of years I went to an event in Dayton that coincided with the Bomb Wing's anniversary and there were--originally--dozens of WWII and Korean vets from that wing. All at least 20 yrs my senior. I went for almost 20 years, and year by year their number dwindled. They would talk, and after seeing me for many years, and knowing what I did, they actually invited me to a few events.
Each year there were fewer. Last time I was with them--maybe 5 years back--there were only about 4 WWII ones left. It was always a very sobering--but in its unique way enjoyable--remembrance. And education for me.
