Prolongus,

Kincaid's, to me, is rather plain. If you like the flavors of different burgers try Twisted Root. Definately worth the Motorcycle ride. Originally Posted by Boltfan

There are several Twisted Root locations. Roanoke has one, Deep Ellum and one near SMU. The Deep Ellum location is the original.
There is also a Twisted Root at 75 and Campbell.

Came home from work, read this thread, was hungry and needed a burger so I went to Five Guys (close to me). Still think Twisted Root has the best burgers, but Five Guys is a close second and definitely the best fries are at Five Guys.

Maybe it's just me but Bucks right next door to the old Hawaii Spa has really good tasting burgers. Has anyone else tried them?

Their menu consists of a single patty, double, triple or quadruple patty.

Good burger, has a unique flavoring. I don't know what the seasoning is, but it reminds me of my burgers when I try all sorts of new spices.

I don't like the fries, they are too thick. The seasoning is a bit much too. My personal preference is the McDonalds type.

They only have beer, Coke and shakes to drink. Although I think they may have water too. No alternative soda to Coke though. It comes out in a glass bottle and they charge you for each bottle.

They have waitresses and they wear nurse's uniforms. Of the 4 that were there, I found 3 of them attractive. I wanted to hint around to my waitress about this hobby. I definitely would have set up an appointment.

They want you to put on a gown like you would wear at a hospital if you were a patient. It's kind of weird.

Overall, a good experience, but since I don't live near downtown, I would only go back if I was in the neighborhood.

I've been getting burgers from Freddy's in Euless lately. They're kind of like Steak-n-Shake, but much better. http://www.freddysfrozencustard.com/

IMHO, three way tie for best burgers in Dallas:

Maple & Motor (http://www.mapleandmotor.com)

Lee Harvey's (http://leeharveys.com)

Wingfield's (http://www.wingfieldsbreakfastandburgers.com)
