How important is a smile?

I am thrilled that you got this done! I was hoping that this experience would really lift you up in so many ways! Sounds like it has.

You have my personal best, Traci. And show off that smile to us all!

Hugs,
Elisabeth

I had a tooth knocked out a while ago (over a year now...and no, I didn't get beat up.) and I think about it quite often. I've just been dragging ass about getting it fixed. It's the summer time, and more people are out and about. I've noticed that it's hard to really let loose with your personality when you don't want to smile the right way. People's eyes are automatically drawn to beatiful, glowing white teeth...and even bad, dull ones. In modern times, dental science has come a loooong way. There's almost no excuse for not having a decent smile these days.

Yeaaah, I think it's best that I go take care of this. Of course, this means cutting into my hobby funds.

What's a guy to do here!?
Thank you all. I'm so happy, it's crazy. My face hurts from smiling so much. :P I really appreciate all the support and well-wishes. You guys and gals are the best. And for those of you who are wanting to get your dental work done, I'm more than happy to share the info about where I went and my experience with them. I can't say that it was ALL good, but it was DEFINITELY worth it.

Reese and her partner in crime, Fawn, are a couple that come to mind with great, smiles that include more than just the mouth. The original blonde does a great job too.

For all, a smile is your best quality - girls and guys - regardless of the appearance of your teeth - as long as your mouth is fresh - show each other your SMILES!
Congrats traci : )
Yes it is important, but the smile comes as much from the eyes, showing a sense of enjoyment and happiness. I'm glad for you that you seem to feel more self-confident and happy about yourself. It seems from others comments that you were never lacking this, so I would expect it to continue even more so now.
Good for you pretty lady.

Well don't just tease, I want to see the new pics. :-)
Haha. I will get new pics as soon as I can, I promise. :P

I had my teeth done about four yrs ago. Hardly a week goes by that someone does not compliment me on them. I even had a random girl, at the grocery store, say something to me tonight. I am glad that everything worked out well for you and you did not become one of the "I went to Mexico to save some money on my proceedure but it turned into a nightmare" cases.
