Jeesh.

Anyway, the same thing happened in Dallas when the Super Bowl was here several years back. To read the reports, every single person attending the game would at least have two sex workers in town for them to enjoy.

The whole thing was ridiculous. AMPS were hassled beforehand and some were shut down. I wasn't on backpage at the time but everyone I knew was being more careful with screening, overall, because of this game.

And most ladies know better than to travel to a city that has a Super Bowl going on. Besides, these type of games are more family and friends type of events.

The number of men looking for a sexual outlet isn't any higher during these times. Most of the time, those weekends are super slow for ladies living in town.

Just my opinion.

I won't RTM your condescending post to me, because I'm not a pussy (for clarification, I'm not calling anyone a pussy, I'm just stating I am NOT a pussy, ergo.. I am within guidelines)

Now, in order to stay on topic... This whole thing is a "thing" every year, because it garners ratings for the networks. Its not hard to find a few extra streetwalkers around major sporting events... the cops pick the low hanging fruit and BOOM-- instant "Fighting Human Trafficking".
Nice job of taking up for yourself Grace.

I think another reason police make an effort to clean things up around big events like super bowl is they do not want out of towners seeing a lot of stuff they will go back home and talk about. It is simple public relations. Think about it. Would you rather tourist go home and describe the magic mile in Arlington or the magic mile along harry hines? I got no problem with them doing a little image management.
Lighten up Francis...

All the talk about sex trafficking this time of year is just local PD’s around the country trying to justify that federal money they’re getting to “fight” trafficking, which they’re probably relying upon for other priorities.

Hell, I saw two digital billboards today with new warning ads about trafficking on my way home from work. In Dallas. Far away from Atlanta.

Gotta keep folks scared so they’ll support continued federal funding of this “epidemic”....

Trafficking has become the big "thing" because society has gotten to the point where many people don't care if a woman chooses to sell her body-- they feel it isn't their business. So the pearl clutchers decided the next best thing was to convince the masses that all ladies who choose to have sex for money are doing so by coercion and force.

Voila-- instant outrage!

By the way, every single year the TSA confiscated hundreds if not thousands of weapons including loaded firearms and explosive devices with people trying to board commercial aircraft. So your point is???

I highly disagree with your statement.

Just because someone is trying to board a flight with firearms doesn't automatically make that person a terrorist, it makes them a fucking dumbass. And given that we have an egomaniac for president you know he's gonna want everybody to know if the TSA did something to stop a major attack just so he can take credit and say it's due to his great leadership.

And speaking of the TSA, half of the TSA people that works at my local airport are borderline geriatrics and should not be doing this type of work. I do a lot of international travel for work and our TSA agents are by far the worst and least professional when you compare them to airport security personnel in other developed countries. The TSA people here are rude, unprofessional, and treats every passenger like they are criminals. The places I travel to in Europe and Asia, the security personnel at airports are always polite, and total professionals. Lots of "please" and "thanks you", and always asks for your permission as a courtesy before opening your bags or padding you down.

TSA even took guns from passengers who have declared their firearms with the TSA and the airline prior to boarding, had those guns unloaded and stored separated from the ammunition in a TSA approved gun case with a TSA approved lock on it.

TSA has been known to molest old ladies in wheelchairs, handicapped folks with the urine bag and then humiliate them by making those folks remove their bags attachments from their bodies and in the process spilling the contents of the bags all over the floor in front of all the other travelers going through security.

2/3 of the time the TSA screeners (not they are not cops, they have no law enforcement licenses nor are they Federal agents, and legally they don't have the power to arrest you more than a Walmart clerk does but they all think they are cops) are not even familiar with the rules they are hired to enforce.

They have made travelers missed their flights by taking them to interrogation room and calling the police and the FBI to interrogate them for hours over items found in their checked in luggage that are as harmless and trivial as a nail clippers which by the way is on the TSA approved list of items you can have in your carry on luggage.

Most of the folks that work for the TSA as screeners wouldn't even make it flipping burgers at McDonald's but they can get a job supposedly protecting our airports from terrorists.

Now they are even talking about giving them guns! Someone is going to get shot if they don't take their shoes off quick enough or raise their hands up when they go through the microwave scanner.

Recently the Federal Court has ruled travelers can't no longer sue the TSA for abuse so the TSA now has carte blanche to do anything to you and they don't need a reason to hold you, make you miss your flight, make you leave the airport and tell you to come back tomorrow for your flight or put you on the no Fly List.

10 of 1000 of U.S. Citizens with no criminal records, not on any terrorist watch list, are on the No Fly list and are never given the reason why they are on it. Most of them do not know about it until the go to the airport and they get a boarding pass with extra screening and a code printed on them. Then when they arrive at the checkpoint, they are told they are not allowed to fly because they are on the No Fly list.

Any attempt to contact the TSA and DHS to find out why you are on the list is met with vague answers and double talk and even if you get an attorney to find out for you, the process can take months and sometime years.

There are U.S. citizens who traveled abroad and are not stuck outside the USA because on their attempt to fly back, they are told by security at the aiport of another country that the USA have put them on a No Fly list and that they are barred from entering the USA and these are U.S. Citizens.

Also Federal courts has ruled that any traveler including U.S. Citizens coming into the USA are subject to have all their electronic devices: cell phones, tablets, laptop, etc etc seized without a warrant by the Customs and Border agents at the airport custom and have all the contents of those devices downloaded by the government into their computers again without a warrant and without any reasonable suspicion that you have committed any crimes while abroad.

Constitution? Fourth Amendment against unreasonable search and seizures? They don't care and they will tell you it doesn't apply.

You don't believe me, Google It.

If you still think we are living in the land of the free, the same good old USA that our ancestors and founders fought the British to gain our freedom, you are solely mistaken.

You want to see how Airport Security should be run? Go to Israel!

You talk to any person on the street and I can tell you 99% of them will say we are wrong and that we are still free and the government will protect us and they wouldn't do such thing to us citizens.

Most people have no idea what is going on BUT they can tell you who won the latest episode of American Idol, what the Kardashians are up to, which tribe is ahead on Survivor, who is the biggest bitch on Real Housewives and who is going to go to the NBA playoffs or the World Series.

This slowly eroding of our civil liberties has been going on since 9/11 and don't get me started on 9/11 and how the Patriot Act appeared so quickly after it, less than 6 weeks after 9/11.

If you ask me 9/11 was a Red Flag operation and sometimes if you want to win wars, you need to make necessary sacrifices of innocent lives and that's exactly what 9/11 was.

We are like a frog in a giant pot being slowly boiled to death and most people in this country are clueless about it.
