A jury member can't be picked if they know "too" much about the case they are being summons for. There is a reason for it. They don't want a jury to walk into a hearing already having an opinion on the case. It's why they are put up in hotels, not allowed to watch media shows or read newspapers. Why they can't interact with other jury members and talk about the trial. This way our legal system can make sure that 100% without a reasonable doubt the defendant is getting his/her fair trial.

I would think not... but I would hope so since they are pretty much cut off of all society during a trial. Has to be rather boring. I would go stir crazy being locked up, not able to do much and talk to many people.
