This is a very ignorant comment. There are many ways to prevent police from being able to connect your communications to you. And there are also ways to prevent them from even being able to see your communications.

Please don't spout nonsense like this. You could actually ruin someone's life if they followed your completely inaccurate advice. Originally Posted by Crock

It's foolish to think you are safe just as long you keep the talk about acts and money over PM or email and not over the phone.

Can we meet at 5 = Safe.

Can we meet at 5 & do this that or this for this much = trouble. Doesn't matter of its online or not.
Stupid is as stupid does.

I don't engage with stupid people and can usually tell what sector they are on right away in the first PM.

What's not to get?
Don't give out your phone # or pics until you finally MEET the person and trust is established.

Hopefully, newbies are paying attention so as to safely get to the point of actually MEETING someone with proper protocols.

Also, with enough research and advice from IT people .... you learn that secretive communication IS POSSIBLE
Big brother is not going to issue a search warrant on an off shore server. They've got bigger fish to fry here in the U.S.

As it is now, a third party could not connect my computer activity to my phone activity (at least not with any certainty).

But you're absolutely right, any mention of services for money puts you at risk.
