What's funny is, Timothy McVeigh thought that the subversive activity of gun ownership should be promoted, yet he didn't use a gun in his terrorism!

McVeigh was wearing a T-shirt at that time with a picture of Abraham Lincoln and the motto: sic semper tyrannis ('Thus always to tyrants'), the state motto of Virginia and also the words shouted by John Wilkes Booth after he shot Lincoln. On the back, it had a tree with a picture of three blood droplets and the Thomas Jefferson quote, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
Timmy had a gun on him and I'm sure he would have used a gun instead of a bomb against the building if he could have gotten a big enough gun (cannon, rocket launcher, etc). As if was, McVeigh was sane enough to know that a handgun versus a building was a silly idea...unlike what you just implied, COG.
