this tv is fairly new. bought it when the HDTVs were $5000 at that time. the sony tv still works like a champ. bloody heavy tho. Originally Posted by dilbert firestorm

As for the apps I haven't reached the limit yet And yes to the sound bar I have 3 TVs with roku now and going to upgrade to sound bar in one . Originally Posted by rexdutchman

Most new laptops have them, so you simply plug it into your HDTV. Older TVs and laptops use an older output, don't recall what they are called but they work fine also but only go up to 720p. Plus you need an 3.5mm audio cable to get sound.
I use my PC hooked up to my HDTV to watch basketball games that are not broadcast on a TV channel. The problem is the streaming can be ridiculously slow and intermittent. My main i7 desktop, much more powerful, has very little buffering and slow and intermittent streaming issues.
Roku all the way an they just came out with roku sound bar all in one ,,,, Originally Posted by rexdutchmanIMHO all sound bars SUCK! Listened to them all, $100 ones going up to the $800 ones.
what's the value of 4k???It's being ahead of the curve. Just as we transitioned from analog to SD to HD, 4K is supposed to be next. HD is 1080 pixels, 4K is 4000 pixels. I have one, but it's hard to find 4K programming. And honestly, I don't watch enough to actually compare the difference. It does look nice in the store though.
HD is cheaper... Originally Posted by dilbert firestorm
