I too have waited hours and it's infuriating to say the least. When you're in a hotel parking lot or in front of her residence, minutes feel like hours. Whether suspicious or not, knowing that nefarious goings on are about to happen just adds to the stress.

I'm to the age now where I don't give a shit; I will wait 15 minutes and bail with a "we'll try again another time". That either speeds up the "dinner with mom" or sets the tone for the next time.
