The problem is-- people want to do their own thing instead of following the diet as its written. They want to do "dirty keto" so that they can still have their treats. Most people do not have the discipline to do keto as it is actually written. Keto is a high natural fats, moderate protein, very low carb diet. It is NOT a "meat based" diet-- though its fairly difficult to follow the fat to protein ratio without meat-- unless you're violating the carb limits.
I am a health nut----no alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, meat, sugar, wheat, processed foods at all--into natural raw fruits and veggies,--on keto eating plan--take lots of vitamins and herbs--NEVER go to doctors, NEVER been sick a day in my life (really)--

You should go to a doctor and get blood work to check if you have any malnurishment.

A better statement would have been, dirty keto or a keto diet that is NOT balanced out with plenty of vegetables and plant based fats can be bad for your colon, heart and vascular system.

Be healthy folks!
interestingly enough, the human body is an omnivore design - both plant and meat eater.
the human teeth are built for plant foods mostly, but the digestive system is built for carnivore - meat digestion. the human digestive system is almost identical to canines.

many, many humans do much better health wise when consuming a mostly carnivore diet. lots of internet posts by vegans who turn carnivore and repair and improve their health.

plants never developed the ability to run or fight back with claws/teeth against their attackers, so they developed pesticides as a defense measure. 90% of all pesticides on earth are plant made (ie, natural!). Animals developed claws, teeth, legs to run away, so they never had to develop internal pesticides.

I have heard that the Keto diet can contribute to osteoporosis and bone density loss. I'm already at risk for this, so I am scared of keto, especially since osteoporosis also leads to tooth loss. I love my teeth!
