From what I've heard, traditional NURU gel (riced based if I'm not mistaken) isn't really necessary, is a chore to prepare, and is harder to clean off like you're saying, Dallas. Apparently it develops an odor once it passes its shelf life as well. If you ask me it's all about the techniques. I'd suggest to look into lomi lomi massage as well, "lingam" massage, and formal training in good old deep tissue massage never hurts.
