As a returning hobbyist, who does has never used FB, and stopped using linked-in, and, who REALY wants to avoid undesired LE contact, I like the idea of meeting in public first. (It is quite unlikely that an undercover LE operation want to waste time with two or three meetings, being paid to drink coffee, or whatever, without making a case.)
Plus, meeting first, for innocent conversation, provides some level of illusion of the whole thing being an affair, rather than just an “encounter.” I like that.
It is good to see a provider mentioning that she is open to this.
