I think whats interesting is that half the steak houses mentioned in this thread were all started or assisted by Dale Wamstad, the original founder of Del Frisco's double eagle steakhouse.
He directly formed Del Frisco's, followed by III Forks, and assisted or helped Bob's steak & chop house get started. then moved later to Texas Restaurant in Richardson/Plano area, it was supposedly won in a poker game.
. Its technically a dinner house, but as with every other restaurant started and owned by Dale Wamstad, its service and food is top notch. Dale's real claim to fame and wealth is years ago he bought a huge swath of land located on the southeast corner of George Bush tollway and Interstate 75, now home to places like State Farm and a ton of shopping centers, apartments, and his Texas Restaurant, etc.
Just a little bit of history in Dallas Steakhouses.
Now, I'm going to go eat dinner. LOL.
