Here's how that gracious offer turns South. You contact someone and get references and you think good I have enough to make it worthwhile to make the trip. You book your room and get there. Then the nice person who vouched for them has time to work your potential clients to cancel the date to see them. Then all of a sudden you have cancellations and less than stellar trip. It's happened before so be careful who you deal with.
