This question about car play may have more relevance than usual. How safe would it be to spend an hour or two in a motel with a questionable ventilation system when you may be checking in only a few hours after the previous occupants? Neither you nor the previous occupants will have used masks in the room. At least in the car you can leave the window open at least a crack.
