Again, Where Are The Checks?

It's understandable that when you are young that $2K actually means some money to people, but by the time you are a certain age, that chump change shouldn't mean shit to you unless people are too fucking lazy to take care of their own financial difficulties by working more than one job if that bullshit money actually means something to them.

I say fuck that stimulus check. People like me are going to just end up paying for it and because this country has no money, they are just going to have to print more money and it's just more inflation... people should get off their lazy asses and go work at Amazon or any other delivery company where business is booming and they are always hiring during this pandemic. There are 20 million people out of work because of the pandemic. Amazon does not have jobs for a million plus people no matter how good business is. The stimulus check is to stimulate the economy, not just be a handout for no reason. The second $2,000 stimulus check is about the only thing Trump Sr and Nancy P ever agreed on.

My point is that it's just a Band-Aid. It will stop the bleeding for a month for some people and then they will bleed again and then what?

I definitely don't qualify for it. And I am not trying to look down on those who do because I know it means a lot more to some people than others. I realize I'm fortunate financially, but $2K is not going to last long even if you live in the straight up hood and you are taking the bus around town.

I get what you are saying because when you need money and you are trying to feed your family or simply trying to feed yourself and have the basics to survive, something is obviously better than nothing.
So far everyone I've met that got a check didn't put it toward rent, they bought guns, custom pc's, or mods for their cars.

Gaston, I was taught at a very young age that people do not respect money that they did not have to earn on their own. That's why my dad never really gave me shit. I know he had the money to do so, but I thank him for that because it made me hungry and made me strive to achieve more.

It's easy to be lazy when you are accustomed to receiving handouts. My dad wasn't going to let that happen with his kids. I knew I wasn't going to get my hand held so I decided at a young age to do it on my own. He helped me out some with undergrad, but he made it crystal clear that I would never get a penny from him after I was 21 years old. I didn't even bother to ask him for money. I just picked up a 2nd job.

Strippers are now working as escorts, that usually don't. Some people qualified for Pandemic Unemployment but never filed for it, the level of intelligence varies widely in America, explains why so many voted for Trump.

With that said, I don't deserve the money. The recent storm has negatively impacted me financially but not the pandemic.

These checks aren't to pay rent, buy food.... they are for buying extra stuff to get businesses moving again....

The jealousy of who gets what and i didn't get mine is so overpowering in USA its disgusting. This economy is a consumer economy, its based on what we spend our money on.

The great depression was caused by over producing the market and no one buying the products being produced, led to lay offs and bank runs. Was a huge cause and effect tidal wave....

We learned from history how to manipulate spending, how to get people back to work and the government is doing its job, now those with no clue can sit back, bitch about the things that don't matter to make their existence feel worthwhile.

We were definitely raised differently and people can do how they please with their money. It's none of my concern what other people do with their money so spend away. Just don't ask people like me for handouts because I believe in savings and compound interest.

And by the way, my money is mine. Nobody gave me any of it. I earned it.

I used to fantasize about firing flaming arrows like a 14th century English longbowman at the junkie camp along the river in the park across the street from my condo back in Chicago.

Or during festival time in the summer where the transient drifters would commandeer the entire sidewalk under an overpass with their camps, and I wanted to just nonchalantly walk by, emptying out a bottle of lighter fluid onto their tents and shanties, and then throw a match on the trail as I finish passing.

Unfortunately our sick society doesn't permit us to do something about the drugged-out layabouts who squat, deface, steal, and sexually assault in our neighborhoods.

People chased gypsies out of town in the old country too. Not because they were "different", but because they were parasites at best, and predators at worst. Unfortunately the "progressive" mindset, out of a desire to be popular and "inclusive" elects to show its belly to the wolf and pretend it doesn't have teeth. Originally Posted by GastonGlock

I think a lot of people had the same outlook as you before the pandemic hit. Some, who have a nice job where they and their friends and family can work from home or simply get a paycheck, have the same attitude. I agree, some people worked hard to be in that position.

But I didn't make those promises: Joe Biden did. He promised a check, a $15 an hour min wage, restarting Obamacare, reopening schools, open borders, state and city bailouts and a lot of other "free stuff." All this costs money. I don't agree with most of it.

But I didn't make those promises. Joe Biden and the Democrats did. So where is it? I know some of it Biden signed a lot of EOs. Where's the media? All these promises unfulfilled and no pushback.

The lead story today is Kanye and Kim's divorce.

I’m guessing Tiny meant second to none.
Now I'm seeing the whole "Rescue America Act" - that's the name Pelosi is giving this boondoogle today - may not get passed until the summer.
