a members account who was way more active than that. Busted 15 women. Told them if they outed the account then they would add additional charges ( down the road and NO they can not do that) His references were solid and his account had longevity, was active almost to the day.

I always ask the guest to call when they arrive . I don't hear the ding of a text if I am moving around.

I understand that this is how a lot of people think, just be positive about things and avoid any conflict.

But that makes it hard on others who can not read your mind. The discussion is about Ghosting; or, being left in the dark, with no indication of what is going on. That is rude on both sides.

Most of us have gotten cold feet about a meeting, especially the first time. But leaving the other person out in the cold is rude. One time I pulled into the parking lot that had two police cars setting there. From down the street, I sent a short message that I was not coming and why. I never got a reply, but I felt better about sending it. So, I don't know if it was a set up or not.
