For you maskerbators......

If you actually take the time to read Fauci's email in context, it says that regular (not N95) masks do not protect you from breathing in the virus. It might block snot from being inhaled. Nothing new there....regular masks were always said to be a means for minimizing spread of YOUR potentially infectious droplet secretions to OTHERS. Seems many don't want to understand that concept. Fauci's interpretation based on knowledge AT THAT TIME, before full understanding of the prevalence of the virus (hence the subsequent mask advisory for all to protect others) was fundamentally correct. I don't even know what that means.

Dr. Fauci just says random shit. I'm not sure what keeping out virus means, but it sounds like he's saying that the typical mask is not effective at filtering virus from your exhale, or perhaps that it's not effective from filtering virus from your inhale, or maybe both.

Was the mechanism behind how a mask can filter virus from your exhale but not your inhale ever explained?

sounds like you made that up, though. I don't recall the mechanism ever being explained.

Also what you said there would depend entirely on the type of mask.

If you're worried about pollution, nuke China and India and stop companies from industrializing other countires. Originally Posted by GastonGlock

America is at risk. Govt has learned how compliant the herd can be. We're in trouble.

MANY TIMES here and elsewhere. Of course there are those who don't want to understand. Moot point since advent of vaccines by and large, but why bear animosity toward those who choose to wear them? Their choice, same as those who choose to forgo.

That said, anyone with an extremely weak immune system has had months to get vaccinated and if that person doesn't care about his own health, why should I? I have no personal fear of COVID I am almost certain I've been exposed to it multiple times since this started and I am none the worse for wear. People who are still afraid of COVID can get vaccinated, wear double masks if they choose, stay locked up in their basements or do ALL OF THE ABOVE for all I care. I am going to go about my business just like I always have and no one is going to "guilt" me into doing otherwise.

Please keep in mind that actually getting COVID contributes just as much to herd immunity as getting vaccinated. lol

The demeaning nature of that response is quite self revealing and reinforces my point in itself. Each individual can exercise their own option based on what they feel is best. Why do you choose to think that way?
