The question is begged. How many people can a city support, until it begins to crumble under the weight?

I appreciate cities, but my guess is that 750,000 to 2 million is ideal, before growth becomes an impediment. Maybe a top of 1.5 million is closer to saturation.

The cities in India are the worst. Everyone is on top of each other and the buildings are as if you could push them to the ground because they seem so unstable. It wasn't surprising to read about their extreme covid problems because there are just way too many people living in those condensed cities there. I had to go to Mexico City a few times for work and it has way too many people, but unlike the cities in India, at least that city is fairly modern.

Almost half of my team is located in India. They ask when I m going to come there again. I'm just thinking "hopefully never again". They love their gold and it is a lot cheaper there than here in the states. I just don't give a shit about jewelry so it's of no benefit to me so I can't even give them credit for that from a personal standpoint.

Its literally a shit pit. My co-workers who went over there to facilitate putting themselves out of a job were dismayed. The IT area was OK and partitioned off but a few feet away from the gates its open sewage and shacks.

Connection to India was slow and the folks doing the IT work with us were oversold. One day they lost power to the IT area in India and we could not contact our counterparts (not that it mattered much) because they had some mass demonstration.
