And I'm not going to go back to school to get a Bachelor's degree just so I could teach English in Japan lol. They generally don't make a lot anyways, so the pay-off wouldn't really be worth it. You also can't just up and move to Japan. Even getting a working visa there is difficult. Some foreigners live/work there for many years before finally being able to get a permanent residence visa. there are places to work that don't require a degree....hard to find....can always come when borders open and stay a few months and look around....I got permanent residency in under 4 years....Married when i came here...decided to try and got it.

It's easier to get a permanent resident visa when you're married to a national I heard. But yeah, I definitely plan on taking a 2-week trip there when the borders open, which probably won't be until next year I fear. But a 3 month trip would be too much. I'd have to move out of my apartment or pay for 3 months in advance or something, on top of paying to stay in Japan. But maybe it would be easier to find some kind of job or way to move there long-term while I'm on vacation there.
